Greg Beckett, CIM, FCSI – CEO & President

At age thirteen, Greg invented the auto reverse cassette deck. In 1983 he participated in the development, production and marketing of the world’s first microwave popcorn bag. This invention was the “secret” in General Mill’s Pop Secret brand of popcorn. In 1987 he assisted in the sale of this business which sold for $24,000,000. Subsequently Greg co-founded and was the President of Toronto Venture Exchange listed Beckett Technologies Corp., a microwave food packaging company, which had a market capitalization of $198 million. It was at Beckett Technologies where he was granted thirteen U.S. patents for microwave food packaging. In 1997 he founded Beckett Capital Corp., a Limited Market Dealer licensed with the Ontario Securities Commission. Beckett Capital’s name was later changed to Kingsdale Capital Corporation in 2001. In 1999 Greg founded the Richmond Club Corp, and was and still is responsible for the stock research and selection for the Richmond Index which, as of July 1, 2014, has grown at a rate of 22.52% per year since its inception in July 2005 which compares favorably to -6.4% per annum for the TSX Venture Exchange or 8.53% per annum for Berkshire Hathaway over the same period of time. In 2005 he founded Liberty Fund Management Inc., which created the Liberty Micro-Cap Gold Index. From 2007-2008 he was the host of Micro-Cap Stock Watch, which was a daily Internet TV program through Market News One in Dallas, Texas. From 2011-2012 Greg was an Investment Advisor with TD Waterhouse at the TD Bank tower in Toronto. From 2012 – 2014 Greg was a Vice President, Retirement, Estate & Trust Strategies at Wickham Investment Counsel Inc. Currently, Greg is Director, Retirement, Estate & Trust Strategies? at Beckett Wealth Management Inc. and Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer at beckettbank Corp which provides debt and equity primarily to companies listed on the Richmond Club Index. He was also: a founder and former Executive Director of The Private Capital Markets Association of Canada (PCMA)™ which is the association for Exempt Market Dealers,  has appeared as a guest on Business News Network (BNN) and is the founder and Chairman of the Richmond Foundation which focuses on helping “at risk kids” in Ontario to become functional members of society.  For recreation, Greg enjoys competing in Ironman triathlons as well as camping, and snowboarding.

Miles Nagamatsu C.A., B.Comm.- Director & CFO

Mr. Nagamatsu is Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of experience who as served as Chief Financial Officer and director of numerous public and private companies primarily in the investment management and mineral exploration sectors. Miles has experience in financial, accounting and management services, stock exchange listing applications, reverse takeovers, equity financings, prospectuses, governance, compliance, strategic business plans, acquisitions, turnarounds, and restructurings. From 2004 to 2007 Miles was the CFO for Lawrence & Company Inc., which was a private investment company founded by legendary bond trader Jack Lawrence, former Chairman & CEO of BMO Investment Counsel. At the time, the fund had $800 million of assets under management, and invested in a portfolio of public companies and venture capital investments.??

Richard Bates M.Sc., Ph.D. – Chairman

Dr. Bates is a former McMaster University professor who founded and ran a healthy cookie manufacturing company for thirty years called New Sun Cookies which had distribution in retail stores such as Loblaws, and Costco.

Jim Steel, MBA, P.Geo, – Vice Chairman & Chairman Of The Audit Committee

Mr. Steel is the Founder and has been Managing Director of Mining Insights Inc. since 1999, an independent analytical firm specializing in value-driven asset analysis for private investors, institutional investors, hedge funds, and private equity funds. Prior to Mining Insights he was VP and Portfolio Manager for TD Asset Management who co-managed the TD Greenline Precious Metals and Resource Funds and was responsible for the initial investment analysis for all Funds investing in Latin America, Africa, and Australia.

Prior to that, he was Senior Mining Analyst at Newcrest Capital Inc. in Toronto, and Mining Analyst at Ord Minnett Stockbrokers Ltd, in London, UK. He is a Professional Geoscientist in Ontario, and as a geologist played an integral role in the discovery of the Ujina Copper Deposit in Chile, now in production.

Jim helps Greg in picking low investment risk mining and industrial stocks for the Richmond Index using a financial, operational and strategic model. He speaks French and Spanish fluently, with conversational Russian and elementary Arabic (MSA).

Nick T. Ferris, B.A. – Director

Mr. Ferris is the President and CEO of J-Pacific Gold Inc. He has a strong background in economics and finance at senior managerial levels, Mr. Ferris has valuable corporate banking experience with Lloyds Bank Canada, and sales and marketing experience with the Canadian Home Income Plan.
